Norman Cherry Elected Chairman Of County Commissioners

Today was the annual meeting at which by law the County Commissioners must elect a Chairman and Vice Chairman. For that reason the meeting started off presided over for the election of Chairman by Zee Lamb, County Manager.

When nominations were opened, L.C. Hoggard nominated Norman Cherry and he was seconded by Charles Smith. There being no more nominations, Norman was elected unanimously as Chairman for the coming term.

Chairman Cherry then presided for the election of Vice Chairman. When nominations were opened, Rick Harrell nominated L.C. Hoggard and he was seconded by Wallace Perry.
